PMGA PGA Championship

We have all been watching the PGA at Kiawah Island and paying attention on how hard the course was playing.  That provided little consolation to the PMGA PGA Championship field as they encountered the Plateau Club on a cloudy Saturday morning. 

The format was straight golf from the gold tees – gross and net payouts.  Very fast greens and difficult pin positions kept the scores well above what was expected out of the PMGA.  The live scoring leaderboard was changing rapidly and a slow or fast start did not determine where you would end up.

There was a tie for the low gross score – sharing honors with an 82 (yes, an 82!!!!) were Ken Falkner and Greg Sinn.  It was Adam Waalkes in the net category, taking the title with an even par 72.

Ken Falkner moved into a tie for second place in the Plateau Cup standings thanks to the gross win.  Dave Reischman continues to lead the standings despite falling victim to the course today.  Ninety PMGA members have participated in tournaments so far.  Next up is our first major – the Member Member.  A solid sign up promises a great three-day tournament.
