Good Greens Committee Meeting – here are the notes:
Todd reported the following:
We have a total of 420 members (includes all social/rec and golf) – membership is healthy and growing
We have just over 300 golf memberships
Plateau Club is back running membership drive/promo - $3500 off normal $10,000 initiation fee – and - $750 off Social/Rec memberships for the next month
Capital Improvements approved are the following for ’22:
New HVAC system for club house
New plumbing drains/filters for pool & resurface kiddy pool
Tennis Courts update, new resurfacing/nets to include pickleball stripping
Powerwash deck and roof at Rec Center
New catering furniture ordered
New Club House Deck needs to be completely removed/rebuilt due to leaks into first floor locker rooms and room near putting green
This is now scheduled for ‘23
Which means NO indoor hitting Bay until above deck gets completed
Given success of WineMaker Dinner and Tastings – Club is developing a Wine Club for Members – specifics TBD
4 Oki Days confirmed for ’22 season, and 11 outside Monday Tournaments already booked
Todd willing to hire family members for this summer due to “hiring” challenges
Jon reported the following:
Greens aeration punching went well (even with delay) – have been rolled several times and will cut greens for the first time today (Friday)
Most of the aprons have been punched and sanded, tee boxes as well completed
Took down 5 more trees, cleaned more brush, and filled some pot holes on cart path
New bunker sand has been delivered, not installed yet – labor issue right now, promised it will be done in April/May timeframe
He still has 2 open roles – raising wage to $25/hr. to find help (will consider high school/college kids/family members as well)
March 26, 2021 - PMGA Board Meeting Minutes
Todd reviewed our submitted “improvements list” – some he call control and implement (if within budget), some will be submitted by Todd to owner (while I won’t share line item by line item, key details to know are the following:
Will move back to sand bottles in carts
We will move to having rakes in bunkers
We will go back to having 7 chipping green and putting green holes (from three)
Proposal has been sent to home office for some new push carts (clickgear) – tbd
New turn menu for grab and go sandwiches will be coming soon
We will be adding recycling bins near putting green and driving range
Pushing to have higher quality snacks available in Crooked Stick soon
Snack room will no longer be locked at any time during normal business hours
Sauna is back on in Men’s Locker room for use
Pushing to get range balls back in boxes
Pushing for new mats for driving range
35 new electric carts have been ordered
We had the opportunity to meet several new members for a quick informal Meet & Greet – several stayed for our Board Meeting
Open discussion around moving several Sat scheduled tournaments to a Sunday, in an effort to make those with small children activities or work commits ability to participate
We agreed to have our No Scotch event on Sunday April 18th and our British Open Event on Sunday July 11th. Our US Open Event is open for play both Sat & Sunday June 19-20.
After surveying the PMGA Membership, we had overwhelming interest & support to move forward with the Live Scoring opportunity available via Golf Genius.
We negotiated with ToddO to share (50/50) the initial expense for year one, and Plateau Club will pick up expense for all future years.
Bob to communicate in writing to Todd we want to move forward asap, so we can have available for MM this year.
Given the overwhelming support for a one time small contribution, the Board agreed to access a one-time $20 charge to each PMGA member account to help offset this initial expense.
Scott Callan already working on MM – Rick Gallagher and Bob Smrecansky will assist Scott and Ricardo will provide expense direction. All agreed to brainstorm ideas for tee prizes and RickG and new member Mike Bodine have contacts for embroidery companies to check their lead times and ability to support.
Scott will also pull together a separate MM Committee Meeting in a week or two to finalize details for MM
Bob will send out a communication to initiate sign-ups for MM, Ryder Cup, MG events.
January 28th, 2021 - PMGA Annual Meeting Minutes
We have approx. 100 members in our Men’s Club. We will be meeting ~ every 60 days and will be updating you all on our discussion points, decisions made – AND - your input is valuable – so feel free to drop a note with questions you might have, thoughts or suggestions – all in an effort to improve!
RicardoM is our CFO and he presented our 2020 year end financials, - we voted unanimously to maintain our dues the same as LY, so for 2021 @ $185
Did you know ~98% of your dues goes into our PMGA Golf Event $ payouts (and Food & Beverage)
Did you know, as a PMGA Member, you have the opportunity to win over $16,000 during our golf season (March-Nov) events
We also give a small $ amount to the Turf Staff & contribute to Play for Pink
For PMGA Events, you pay nothing to play (Pro Shop event cost $15 to participate)
Sam Cooper was confirmed as our Handicap Chairman
Fred Glastetter was confirmed as Greens Committee Lead
Scott Callan will be our M/M Chairman
Bob Thomas will be our M/G Chairman
Gary Grembowski will own Plateau Cup – maintaining the points throughout the year, informing on a regular basis, and will own the year-end annual event
Rick Gallagher accepted to be the US Team Captain for our Ryder Cup event, as well as help Scott & Bob on our majors
Ricardo will Chair the Ryder Cup event – we confirmed hats were preferred option over expense & sizing challenges for other apparel items for this event
We will pick new teams for 2021 Ryder Cup
Steve Giandalia is our VP & Web Master – he and Matt Puls are working on a new PMGA site that will host EVERYTHING PMGA – stay tuned, more to follow on this
