PMGA Club Championship

The PMGA Club Championship was paired with the PWGA Club Championship at its traditional end of July date.  A full field came out under cloudy and humid conditions.  Entering the club early on Saturday morning, the competitors were greeted with the course under full sprinklers.  This slowed the course a bit for the opening 18.

The format was 27 holes of stroke competition.  All play was from the gold tees.  Following the initial 18, the members grabbed a burger from the Crooked Stick and a beer or two from the PMGA keg.  The group was quickly re-paired by Chris and sent back out to play the front 9 again.

Your Club Champions – Jim Cangiano won the gross Competition shooting a 115 for 27 holes.  Dave Reischman won the Net Competition shooting 105 for the 27 holes.

Some higher math was required to tally the scores.

Dave Reischman extended his lead in the overall Plateau Cup standings.  Jim Cangiano was the big mover up the standings with his win.  Norm Escover remains in 2nd place with Ken Falkner moving up to third supplanting Bob Smrecansky.  Next up is the big Member-Guest Tournament.  Sign up now for the final Major – the Ryder Cup.
