PMGA Member-Guest
The second Major of the year was the annual Member-Guest Tournament. Record heat and smoke greeted a huge field of 53 teams. The weather, course and pressure all took its toll on the competitors. As a result, some new names popped up on the winner’s board.
Competition kicked off on Thursday afternoon with the Par 3 cross-country tournament. The real action started early on Friday with three, nine hole, select drive best ball matches within each Flight. The was followed by a further two nine hole matches on Saturday. After tallying the scores, the Flight winners moved on to the final Horserace. The second place finishers went into a playoff to get into the final Horserace. The final Horserace was select drive, alternate shot.
In addition, there were multiple side games going on including a Thursday skins game, a flighted putting contest and a Par 3 KPs throughout the weekend.
After all of that, your 2021 Member-Guest Champions are Mike Abernathy and Casey Rogers.

A really cool addition to this year was framed Plateau Club flags to the winners.
Second place goes to Steve Grimmer and John Culver.
Third Place to Tony Pacheco and Bill Kodosky.

The overall Plateau Cup standings were fairly stable with the exception of the big winners making big steps up the leaderboard. Mike Abernathy is up 36 spots, Steve Grimmer is up 28 and Tony Pacheco is up a whopping 42 places.
